The Survey of Economic and Social Developments in the Arab Region is an annual flagship publication of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). The report has two key objectives under a set format: to analyse routinely monitored economic and social variables in the Arab region in a global context, and to focus on taxation and challenges and opportunities to raise tax revenue in the region.
